Bombas Surfside Shack, Cappoons Bay (tel. 284/495-4148), is the oldest and most memorable hangout on the island, sitting on the beach near the West End and attracting an uninhibited crowd. Despite its makeshift appearance, the shack has the sound system to create a really great party. Every month (dates vary), Bombas stages its legendary and world renowned full-moon party.

There are many other local watering holes many with entertainment. Ask our manager for suggestions. The Dove, The Bat Cave, Sebastians, Quitos and many others are present day options.

Just down the road from Steele Point is the Jolly Roger, (tel. 284/495-4559 ), where you can hear local or sometimes American bands playing everything from reggae to blues. Also close by is Pussers, A long time favorite for sailors and land lubbers alike.
